Release notes

New Features

  • Improved performance for opening/closing workspaces and automatic navigation of participants between workspaces
  • Sort options of XLeap Center views are now remembered
  • Paginated center views are now displayed directly after loading the first page (faster)
  • Slider notifications on navigation of multiple users are now cumulated to reduce notifications

Fixes

  • Switches could appear blurry. Now fixed
  • Pasting of a session or template to a filtered center view resets the (search) filter to display the session (template)
  • Excel sheets exported from the Presentation workspace were misnamed. This is now fixed.
  • Search on Personal XLeap Centers offered inapplicable search option 'Co-host'. Now removed.
  • Sessions with time zone US/Central could not be taken over by a Co-host. This is now fixed.
  • An administrative requirement for session codes could prevent the creation of sessions. This is now fixed.
  • Administrative import of users could prevent the manual creation of users. This is now fixed.

Fixes

  • General
    • Multiple improvements in usability on mobile devices.
  • Center views
    • Sessions deleted by the owner while under control of a Co-host did not appear in the owner’s trash
    • Copies of sessions without a timed agenda were created with time zone UTC, instead of the user’s present time zone.
  • Navigator
    • Opening of a closed workspace in the Navigator opens a closed session as it would from the toolbar
  • Process Designer
    • Cancellation of editing of session name, address or access code could still save changes.
    • Copied workspaces no longer carry the '(copy)' suffix.
  • Brainstorm workspace
    • Import wizard would not open under certain conditions
    • Redundant sort option 'by sticky dots' removed when comments are only target
    • Custom color of the first folder was lost when Brainstorm workspace

    • Connection info box for third-party tool now scrolls correctly
    • When the current presenter of a screen share presentation leaves the session, the role automatically switched back to the host.
    • Inapplicable option for specific prompts was available when feedback channel was global.
  • Rating sheet
    • Very long instructions could make item list unscrollable
    • Custom color for the first folder was not copied with the rating workspace
    • Copies of a Rating sheet with a custom-named first folder featured an additional empty folder named ‘Unsorted’
  • Rating Charts
    • Participants were unable to navigate through multiple chart pages
    • The radius for a comparison chart for the 'total' did not match the radius of other bubbles with the same z-value
    • Report: comparison charts with 'total' did not give a color for total
    • Report: the axis printed in the report did not match exactly the axis used in the client
  • Rating results table
    • Export of detailed results for negative scale showed negative values underscore instead of minus e.g., '_1' instead of '-1'

Changes

  • Conference. Dialogue for joining the conference now provides for setup and testing of microphone and camera.
  • Conference. Hosts' option 'Auto muting' replaced with option 'Mute all'.
  • Conference. Participants can now switch microphone and camera when in conference.
  • Conference. Hosts can now directly disconnect/reconnect individuals from/with the conference.
  • Login. Client compatibility and connection test extended by detailed conferencing tests
  • XLeap Center. Session admin can now delete sessions which are open.
  • XLeap Center. Status bar of views 'All sessions' and 'All templates' now gives the number of sessions of that view
  • Presentation. Not-yet present Co-hosts can now be selected as presenter

Fixes

The release fixes several bugs including:

  • Conference. Ending the conference with participants in the session could log off the Host.
  • Automatic navigation of participants joining a conference with only one open workspace could fail.
  • Login. Participant login page of an English language session showed German text when viewed with a German language browser.
  • Brainstorm. Merged items could not be exported when there were no comments.
  • DeepDive. Privilege 'participants may delete all topics' was not saved.
  • Chart. Changes to folder names in the Rating sheet only became effective in charts on next entry.
  • Chart. Switching between 'teams' in team comparison could fail to switch team colors correctly.
  • Process Designer. Insertion of a process section directly above a rating could produce display error apparantly splitting the rating frame.
  • Templates. Pasting of process elements to a newly created template could fail.

This is a maintenance release.

Performance

Performance was improved for

  • Automatic navigation of participants on opening and closing of workspaces
  • Process designer for sessions with many Rating workspaces
  • Administrative XLeap Center view 'All sessions'
    • Data for view is loaded and computed only on access of that view
    • Irrelevant contribution counters removed from session items of the view
    • Old sessions are loaded only on enablement of switch 'Show all'.
  • Opening of Center administration is now much faster.

Fixes

  • Changing of background color of default Welcome space could log out Center admin. Now fixed.
  • Removal of Licensors by Subscription admin could fail. Now fixed.
  • Welcome email to new users could be resent on restart of server. Now fixed.
  • Participant login to sessions could fail when process of closed sessions with identical URL was edited. Now fixed.
  • Templates could be archived by data maintenance. Now fixed.
  • Slide-control drop-down of Presentation workspace did not offer Co-hosts for selection. Now fixed.
  • Changes to Rating settings of an ongoing vote could require participants to respecify unsubmitted ratings. Now fixed.
  • Copying of comments on ratings by the Host triggered a security error and logged out the user. Now fixed.
  • Rating setting 'Show results on resubmission' had multiple issues which are now fixed:
    • Switch is ON
      • Results tables and charts are now re-opened for those users who have already submitted the rating sheet.
      • Multi criteria result tables and charts are now opened only for participants who have submitted all relevant ratings.
    • Switch is OFF
      • Results tables and charts which were not opened explicitly by the Host are now closed

Changes for all deployments

  • On upload, actual file type is verified against file extension
  • Sanitization on upload of SVG files has been extended
  • The toolbar logout button of Hosts now also provides option 'Exit to Center' where applicable
  • Chrome from v76 - 80 now supported for sessions without XLeap conferencing service

Fixes for all deployments

  • Date of creation in meta data of Word report could be wrong. Now fixed.
  • Navigator could open automatically when there was only one open workspace. Now fixed.
  • Results chart could be duplicated on import of session from file. Now fixed.
  • Multiple spelling errors now fixed.
  • Several fixes for camera and conferencing control

    • Default inactivity timeout shortened from 6 hours to 3 hours
    • Seperate timeout values can be configured for regular activities and activities where passivity is expected
    • Speaking is recognized as activity by default
  • Instead of initial password, system only sends time-limited links to set password
  • Separate specification of validity for user-requested and administrative set-password links

Fixes

  • Editing of default security questions failed. Now fixed.
  • Custom logos did not scale correctly on the compatibility-and-connection test page. Now fixed.

Fixes:

  • Bar charts for numeric scales 1 - n did not show a bar if average rating was '1' as origin for x-axis was '1'. Origin now set to '0'.
  • Displayed expiration dates of deployment and user subscriptions could differ because of inconsistent interpretation of 'end of day' based on local time zones. Now fixed.

Fixes for Meeting Center Server SCIF Edition:

  • When TLS encryption was disabled administratively,
    • redirects of http-requests to https could still occur. Now fixed.
    • Server's URL would be give public IP address instead of hostname. Now fixed.
